Back during that trip mid-January down to Southern CA, Kaysha and I got to shoot a second wedding together, this time for Betzi and Ryan and their awesome wedding party (complete with a past bride of ours!). We started things off in the late morning at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach (beautiful resort – I hadn’t shot here for a few years, so it was nice to return), with both the bride and groom getting ready. Once ready, we all drove over to Baldwin Park for the ceremony (I still can’t get over how far away my SoCal ceremony and reception sites are from one another). Cool thing was that the church gave us a good chunk of time to do the group pictures after the wedding… that, or we were just crankin’ ‘em out like nobody’s business – then again, leave it to Filipinos to have group shots down to an art.
ANYWAY, we headed back to Huntington Beach for the rest of the portraits, but by that time the sun was long gone so we were cut a little short (boo!!!), so after a quick session, we went straight into the festivities… which, in this case, was performance after performance (again – leave it to Filipinos…). Fun times. :D
Congratulations, Betzi and Ryan – it was an absolute blast. Can’t wait for our Couple Session! Enjoy!
I REALLY like the detail on Betzi’s dress – it has the right balance of simple, girly and deconstructed…ness… for me. hehe.

Jan (aka Birthday Girl) was the designated foot attendant.

Sharp details, huh?

…I guess waiting in the limo’ll do this to you… (Stacie – NOT cute. hahahahaha!)

Okay, I’ll admit – the guys look pretty bad ass here.

MMM… CANDY…

A sweet Ode to Betzi… and then there was Ryan’s roast. Probably one of the funniest Best Man speeches I’ve ever heard.

Split Image.

Dude, this thing is only good for another week or so… better get on it.

…and then there was this.
